<div><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Job Summary</strong></span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at our award winning social enterprise garage. You will deliver expert diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and MOT testing. You will support the workshop team, provide guidance to junior staff and workforce volunteers, and ensure high standards of safety, efficiency, and workmanship. While doing this you will be helping people with barriers to work fulfil their potential and train as mechanics.&nbsp;</span></div>

<div><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></div>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on vehicles for retail and trade customers, meeting the highest standards of quality and safey</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Conduct Class 4,5 and 7 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Work efficiently, completing tasks within specified timeframes based on Autodata guidance</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced technicians, and supervise workforce volunteers in carrying out basic fast fit tasks</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Liaise with Service Manager to explain faults or repairs, and ensure parts are ordered</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Be proactive in carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying work required</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Keep the workshop clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Some Saturday work required on a rota basis, with equivalent time off during the week</span></li>

<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Service &amp; Maintenance, or equivalent</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">At least 3 years experience in a similar role, and proven excellent technical competence</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong diagnostic skills including using garage diagnostic software</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Existing valid MOT Tester licence preferred but not essential</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Full UK driving licence</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience in working on electric and hybrid vehicles preferred by not essential.</span></li>
